Angry Birds Transformers
This app is an arcade/action game that combines the thrill of the toy franchise and popular film with the renowned app games. As opposed to flinging of birds towards structures, birds in this game are characters with legs and arms which shoot at pigs using several weapons. Here’s the full review of this app.
Graphics / Sound
The features that I find attractive in this App Store and Google Play app for Android are the sounds and graphics. Interestingly, the game uses smooth graphics with the antialiasing feature, making the models look great especially on the retina display. Additionally, the animations used are fantastic while the character to vehicle transformation is just amazing.
The sound effects, on the other hand, are equally great in bringing about the G1 feeling while hitting home perfectly. In this category, I would rate the app at 4.6/5.
Interface and Controls
The iOS and Android app has an attention-grabbing user interface that is quite relatable, making it easy even for a first timer to use the app. This nice-looking game has pigs and birds which mesh that with the designs of the transformers incredibly. The controls are equally responsive and straightforward, features ideal for this type of mobile gaming. Here, the app deserves a 4.7/5.
The game has straightforward and adaptable gameplay. Your objective is to survive, and you’ll need to shoot at pigs, targets, and structures. You also get to transform into different vehicles such as tanks, cars, motorbikes, or even planes and submarines (both of which remain at the ground level). Notably, you can use iconic items to enhance or customize your transformers.
The free game brings along a variety of in-app purchases. The most expensive is the Crate of Gems which goes for $99.99, while the cheapest is the Hot Offer that would cost you some $3.99. Notably, these gems help extend the gameplay, preventing you from being kicked out of the game in the early stages. But you can still play the game without the purchases. The incoming latest version also brings a new character and additional accessories while offering an optimized experience. Therefore, you’ll need to update to the latest version.
Notably, the game’s replay value is in the upgrades. You will earn these with each transformation you make, and the weekly events where you can compete for prizes will keep you glued to the game. Angry Birds Transformers also comes as an app for all Android devices which run Android version 4.1 and up and iOS gadgets (iOS 8.0 or up is required). So it can be used by holders of Android mobile devices, iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The gameplay scores a 4.8/5.
The Google Android and iOS game combine the familiar gameplay of Angry Bird with a side-scrolling Transformer approach, and it doesn’t get more fun than this. Additionally, the game works well on my device and doesn’t have lags. However, revisiting the different levels may sometimes begin to feel repetitive as you proceed with the gameplay. The fact that you have to pay up or go with the pace offered by the game is also discouraging. Regardless, is still finds the game features and tools in the game attractive and I recommend the app to mobile gaming enthusiasts across the world.
